He gained his first retail experience at the traditional men’s outfitter Hirmer and at Marc O’Polo in Munich. In the course of his psychology degree in Vienna, specialising in personality psychology, he deepened his knowledge of aptitude diagnostics and interview techniques. In a parallel role on the management board of a fashion chain he headed up recruitment and training, was responsible for purchasing and sales, and guided the company’s entry into the German market.
